As soon as That Husband saw the results to the header contest he said “You should just hold a contest for all the thing you need in life.” Who wants to win the chance to wash my car? Or clean out my fridge? Or write my paper?
I don’t think life works that way.
I echo his stunned amazement over how many high quality entries I received in such a short period of time. I’m forcing myself not to make comments about each of the entries, for I might sway the vote in oooohing and aaaahing over their splendor. Thank you to all those who participated, the designs you came up with are all so very unique and creative.

Designers, unless you have thick skin, just don’t look at the results! I appreciate all your hard work, and I would hate to have you leave my pretty little blog feeling bummed because you didn’t get the most votes. When I’m in a contest, I like to stay away from the voting, and then when I don’t win I can tell myself “I probably came in 2nd.” Because sometimes self-delusion can bring the greatest happiness.

I just wanted to say- I like Design #4- but if it could incorporate the font emphasis that Design #1 has (for that one line: That Wife married to that Husband etc etc) It would blend nicely.

I love the overall design of #1, but also feel it needs more color since the majority of the site is already white. LOVE the fonts! SO cute!

Wow, I do not envy That Husband’s decision at all! lol These are so great! I agree with the comment above though. I like the look of #4, but I really like what they did with the font in #1.

Okay, here is my opinion. I really like the font on option one but the layout and the silhouette on option four…if you could combine the two dynamite:)

They’re all so great.
I voted for number eight, because I like how bold it is, and the font isn’t something you see everyday. It seems well-balanced. All of the others are very fun, too, though. You’ll have a good header no matter what is chosen.

Man, that was hard to pick between design 4 and design 8. I also really like the fonts in design 1. But I really like the snazziness of number 4 the best!

I gotta throw my weight behind number 1. It’s got such a simple feel that would blen in easily with the current layout.
Plus it’s very reminscint of the old look from That Bride.

I chose Design 5, but am in agreeance over the font of Design 1. It’s a very elegant font. And I like the separation with “Wife”, “Husband”, and “Life”. It’s a really good touch.

They’re so good I had to think about it for a few hours then come back. In the end I gave my vote to no1, but no4 was my second choice, so I’m pleased with the results so far!

Oh my! So hard to decide. In the end I put my vote down for number 1… it has a timeless elegant feel to it, IMHO. The others are great too. I also really liked #5.
