If I made a badge (100 pxX100px), would anyone participating in these monthly challenges actually put it on their blog, or use it in their posts that they write about their challenge results?
I only ask because I just spent 30 minutes attempting to design one and I hated it (remember how I tricked people into designing my header because I was so awful at it?), and I don’t really want to put a lot of time into designing one if no one will use it. I would have the lovely Jess Lehry make one for me, but I’m all out of blogging funds at the moment. All blog related funds have been temporarily diverted to the photography side of my life until I actually start making money with this photography thing.
Should I make a badge? Or should I use the 2 hours it would take me to create one for other things… like making cupcakes. Cupcakes can always be put to good use in That House.

Maybe stick with the cupcakes until it gets large enough that people start asking about a badge?
Badges seem to really be a mommyblogger thing. And I am still in denial about the fact that my blog is basically a mommyblog -babies (which = just a boring blog?). So I probably wouldn’t use it yet.

I’m probably not the right person to ask, because the blog I contribute to wouldn’t go for the badge, and I heart cupcakes with a deep, abiding love, so I would vote cupcakes.

I’m not a fan of badges… but if you made one I’d probably post it with pictures from the challenges to my blog. The badge being a link… it may be a way of branding the challenges or increasing traffic to your site if you require folks to post their results to their blog as well as sending to you.

Would you plan on having new badges each month, or a more general “Photography Challenge” “Food Challenge” “Lifestyle Challenge” badges?
I’d be more than willing to design something for you (for free) if there are enough people that want one.
Just let me know!

I probably would not use it – maybe on my cooking blog, but it is unlikely. I don’t even really know what I would do with it…

I would use it on each individual post, but not on the sidebar. I like to keep my sidebar as uncluttered as possible.
Hehe, I would love to put more photos of myself on my blog, but I don’t get that many taken of me really…I’m like you in that I love photos taken of me though!

I would put it on the individual post that relates to the post.

I would use it for the post where I wrote about whatever I did – but I would use a general badge like “Lifestyle Challenge” so that each month people would see the same thing and maybe get inspired to do it too. But cupcakes are totally awesome too.

Tough decision. I would use the button. I’m not a big cupcake lover, but they aren’t too shabby.
