One of my favorite poetry-related quotes (I’m not sure who said it) is “good writers copy, great writers steal.” So true – there’s nothing new out there, you just have to make it your own.

I love this. I can’t tell you how much this applies to a lot of things that I’ve been thinking about lately. (Actually, I could, but it would be a really long comment.)

This reminds me of my favorite Bob Dylan album title: “Love and Theft”. He loves folks music, and he rips it off better than most.
