Little sister is getting married on Saturday (madness I tell you!), and so I’m hopping on a plane to Washington tonight to spend some time at home before the wedding. I have so much to post, including the July Challenge entries, but I’ve got to get all of my stuff together and get out of Dallas first!

I shot my first solo wedding in El Paso on Saturday where I successfully resisted the urge to cross over into Mexico. Did you know I am secretly a daredevil? I trick all of you into thinking I’m a docile hermit who sits at home in her underwear editing photos all day long, but at heart I’m the girl who would travel across the border on a whim and jump out of airplanes.

There’s Mexico, right behind me!

The wedding was fabulous, and also quite long (I shot for 14 hours!). I didn’t break my shoes in properly and my neck is sore from lugging around two camera bodies with lenses for most of the day. But you know what:

I LOVED EVERY MINUTE

Wedding photography is such a fabulous fit for me, and I’m so grateful that TH was willing to take the plunge (for he is most certainly the one funding this whole operation) and invest in me, in Jenna Cole.

Here’s a sneak peek at the fun. Head over to Jenna Cole to see the rest! (And I don’t normally ask for comments, but it’s my first wedding and I’m feeling a bit nervous about the results so I would love to hear what you think.)
