We’re celebrating today because of this boy, although I won’t say why because it’s a thing we don’t discuss. It wouldn’t have anything whatsoever to do with the passing of years.
I don’t talk very much about That Husband. I talk about me, I talk about us, but I don’t spend much time talking exclusively about him, something this introvert of mine appreciates immensely.
I adore him. His patience astounds me. He makes me feel loved. He tells me I am beautiful. I could not have asked for a better eternal companion. He is my better half.
I am so happy, and I owe so much of that happiness to him.
It’s appropriate that this day falls on the nations birthday, because this is what happens to my heart whenever he comes near.
