While in Utah for my Utah for my sister’s second wedding reception I went out for lunch with my second favorite guy in the whole world. Trevor. I just love him to pieces.

We went to the best cafe to in all of Utah. Seriously. I dare you to introduce me to a place better than Citta. I’ve seen it called both Citta and Bella Citta so I’m not positive on the name, but let’s not get worked up over such silly details. Get worked up over the most amazing panini with balsalmic drizzled salad you will ever have.

And they have tomato bisque. Oh the tomato bisque! They have two locations, one in Sandy, and one on Foothill Drive in SLC. If I had to choose any one place to eat at for every meal for the rest of my life, this is where I would go. I’m not joking, it’s that good.

Trevor liked it so much that he ordered a second sandwhich to-go, because he wanted a little Citta in his life later that evening. Trevor agreed this was the best panini he has ever had. And he has traveled a lot. And lives in New York City. This is a guy who knows what he is talking about.

Citta isn’t just known for its paninis, it has the most authentic tasting geltato in America that I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to Italy people. Remember that one time I went to Italy and ate gelato every day? Try the yogurt with sour cherry. The Foothills Drive location recently introduced 50 cent cones. I would urge all ice cream places to start offering 50 cent cones because it’s the perfect serving size to leave you feeling satisfied without feeling guilty.

Of course I may have left feeling satisfied because I was dreaming of our next stop. Mini’s Cupcakes! Cupcakes are the new hot thing in SLC (do you know about the blog Utah Loves Cupcakes?) I love the tagline that Mini’s uses “Change Your Cup Size”. I will change my cup size for you, my dear sweet Mini’s.

Dessert in miniature makes me so happy.

So many delicious choices!

I went with Twisted Sister for myself, Chocoholic for my mom, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s for my sister. She loves Audrey Hepburn so I thought it was fitting. :)

The Twisted Sister. I want another. Right now.

My sister let me have a bite of hers, and the edible gems on top are actually really good! I like the texture they add to the

Looking forward to my next trip to Utah so I can try the newest cupcake and fro-yo offerings! (The options always seem to have multiplied by 10 whenever I go back). I was hoping to get a Va-NIE-la cupcake at Sweet Tooth Fairy bakery, but I didn’t make it down to Provo. Guess I’m going to have to head back soon?

Cupcakes and fro-yo are all the rage in Utah, but I’m curious… what is going to be the next big trend? (Not just in Utah, everywhere…) Miniature food?
