Jeeze, those wispies are such a pain… as is the attack of the frizzball monster. I’ve got ‘em both and have bought a rediculous amount of “product” to try to tame them. No luck. If you ever figure it out, please be kind enough to share the secrets of success!

Dude, when I was in Japan I decided to shave my neck to get rid of whisps. BAD IDEA. I had put on my yukata for a summer festival or something and I thought that my neck fluff looked rather un-sophisticated so I got out my razor and started to shave them off. Needless to say, I got too close to my actual hair and ended up having stupid short hairs that grew out to look awful when I put my hair in a ponytail. AND I got ingrown hairs and razor bumps on my neck. Ugh.

I have some whispies too. They’re right where my hair splits. I’ve noticed when I use a little bit of hairspray right out of the shower they seem to tame quite nicely.

I pluck my wispies with tweezers. Thankfully my husband has never found this out or he’d have me committed lol.

I say don’t worry too much: I don’t think anyone will be staring at your scalp (I hope?). And if you still feel badly, you can just say that you are preparing yourself to be patient for when your baby is running around this world chopping at his/her own hair.

So glad you posted this. I have the SAME problem. Did my wedding day hair trial, and they were driving me insane. 25 days out from the wedding and I am so tempted to whip out the scissors.

I have tons of whispies too! And they always drove me crazy! About 8 months ago I got bangs for the first time in a long time and now I rarely think about my whispies. Just one of the many reasons I love bangs

Been there, done that! Even worse is my habit of cutting my own hair and leaving it completely uneven.

I have no solutions other than lock the scissors away and pretend like the wispies don’t exist!

Ugh I have totally cut off my whispies too-loving the suggestions for clear mascara, haven’t ever thought of that! Don’t worry, they grow out pretty quickly and with your dark hair, I could hardly even see them in the pic!

I was that kid that always cut her bangs right before pictures. As in the night before. So I feel your pain every time I look at pics of me as a kid. LOL.

Use clear brow gel. It isn’t quite as stiff as clear mascara so it won’t look odd when compared to the rest of your hair but it will tame those pesky flyaways!

Eeek! I’ve never attacked my wispies, but I’ve suffered many bad self-haircuts in an attempt to get rid of split ends when I’ve been too lazy or cheap to get a real haircut. I think eventually everyone learns the hard way to just leave well enough alone.

I can’t believe you did that! I’ve had hair wispies all my life and when I was younger my mom cut it once and it didn’t grow back any thicker! I still have them! just leave them alone

I did the exact same thing a few years ago. I had to use gel to get the wispies calmed down. Luckily they grew out relatively quickly! I have also tweezed wispies before. Now my trick is hairspray and a toothbrush. Always works!

I have to admit, I was definitely THAT KID who cut off her widow’s peak. I was 11, and the kids at school constantly made fun of me for it, calling me a witch and a vampire and such. I eventually reached my limit and decided to take the matter into my own hands- and I shaved my widow’s peak off. Obviously, you could still TOTALLY see it (some how I thought shaving it would make it invisible- not so!) and it was terrible. I had my mom cut bangs, which at least hid it a little bit, but it was immediately clear that the only real solution was to let it grow back, which was an incredibly awkward and slow process! For a couple of months the short widow’s peak sort of stuck through my bangs- awful. Whenever you see a kid with a widow’s peak, compliment her so she doesn’t make the same mistake! Too funny.

I had a friend that cut off her widow’s peak. It grew back straight up like a unicorn horn until there was enough weight to pull it down. OOPS!

i have those wispy bangs too and hate them!

Pretty sure i’ve tried to cut them off at one point or another in my life too
