Granted I haven’t had a photo taken of me by any professional photographer since I was in high school – yes those dreaded yearbook picutres.

I am very luck to have an Aunt and Uncle who are photographers. Do they count? They really only do family gatherings! My aunt did go to college for photography!

In the blog world I am smitten with HRM Photography in Toronto area.

This isn’t a fair question for me since my best friend is a photographer (Whatever the Weather Photography) and naturally she’s my favorite because I’m so comfortable in front of the camera while she’s behind it and I get so many opportunities to “work” with her just because we’re around each other enough…

But I love most photographers whose work doesn’t look too processed. Rebekah Westover is one example, her work just pops in my mind. I adore Amelia Lyon too but her stuff is overly processed in my opinion. It’s just a preference thing.

For landscapes, I really love Ansel Adams.

But I also really love Cindy Sherman for her thought-provoking series (particularly of women and how they are percieved).

I also really love the Sartorialist’s street fashion shots. He makes people look so cool!

I’m in love with Gilles Bensimon. At a time when it’s still “high fashion” for models/subjects to look pissed off and slightly cracked out, his portraits are so often happy. Even if they aren’t light and airy, there’s no sense of anger or bitterness… something I really can’t stand in the fashion industry. Since when does it sell clothes to have your models look like they’re in pain?
Yes yes, he’s my favorite fashion photographer right now.

How fun!! Its hard to say that I have a “favorite” photographer, but during my wedding planning, I kept turning to Erik Clausen(http://www.beaposer.com/), who is also in Dallas. I don’t know enough to know if I love his photography or his editing style, though.

I guess he’s not a “real” photographer, but my sister’s boyfriend takes fantastic photos, and he’s the only one I know personally, so he’s my favorite!

My favorite photographer is a gal named Michelle Waters from Parkersburg, WV. When she meets her clients, they instantly become friends. She finds out as much as she can about her clients so that their photographs display their true selves. I could look at her website for hours!!! (Guilty….) You are also a WONDERFUL photographer!

I loved our wedding photographer, Kirsten White in Toronto who not only charged us next to nothing (she’s building her portfolio) but stayed later than planned AND had her boyfriend come along as a second shooter which we hadn’t realized was going
to happen.

Well…not terribly familiar with the photography world. I remember looking at bazillion wedding photography sites way back in 2003 and I remember thinking Kenneth Linge was great. But so is the Busath team of photographers (they do a lot of the church leader photography in Utah).

Of course, I really loved my neighbors fantastic pictures (she was my biggest push/coach into getting my Nikon dSLR). And…you of course! I love your pictures!

I love the photographer who did my cousins wedding – ambrosio photography in S Florida. However, someone I do NOT love was my wedding photographer. Jenna, I wrote to you about this one. I realize the importance of researching and choosing the right person even though they did not do a BAD job, it was nothing like I anticipated. So now I see wedding photos and sigh. Regardless, another one i like is Anne Geddess.

mmmm I like a lot of modern photographers but I do really like the simplicity and beauty of Ansel Adams, especially since he’s captured so many places I really love.

My favorite is probably my best friend because she’s the coolest.

But my fave pros are: Tec Peteja, Jose Villa, and as of late ashley ann photography. Also, you’re not so bad yourself!

I have two favorite photogs. One is our wedding photographer (cadencecornelius.com) because she did an awesome job but is also super nice and is now our friend. and the other is my best friend’s mom who was the unofficial photographer for pretty much every single event in our lives. But also I want to win this because I am now obsessed with your picture of the graffiti with the whale on the green wall. i love it!!!!!!

It’s difficult to nail down a single favorite photographer, but Richard Avedon’s iconic portraiture has always held a special place in my heart. The American West series of images captivated me when it came through Fort Worth when I was in High School. I’d definitely say it was influential in my becoming more interested in photography as an artistic medium.

I would have to say our wedding photogs. Beyond the well photography. Love their photojournalism style of photography.

He took our engagement pics, our reception pics, and Addie’s 3 month pics. I’ve talked with him about doing a family session the next time I make it to Virginia Beach.

He was my single’s branch president (before getting married) and my boss before I had Addie. I think I love his work because it’s good and because I simply love him so much! =)

I don’t know too many professional photographers, but my fiance’s dad has a talent for photography and I love his photos. He takes his camera when he goes hunting and shoots gorgeous shots of the forest etc. and also his hunting “partner”: a black lab named Ben!

My cousin, Brittany Rogers-Hanson, blrphoto.com, is my favorite! She took our wedding photos and is fantastic!

I would have to say that my favorite photographer is a tie between our wedding photographers, Starks Photography, and Lindsey of Pure Photography (who we won a free session with; in which we jumped in the cool spring waters of Florida for!). They are both incredibly amazing local Florida photographers.

I love checking Jenna Cole (umm… YOU!) weekly. Your pictures are gorgeous and inspire me to pick up a camera and shoot (but I do know, that just because I have a Nikon, it doesn’t make me a photographer. lol. But, a girl can dream!)

I’m going to have to go with one of my best friends, Stephanie Reinish (http://www.stephaniereinish.com/). She came through with some great shots of my wedding when my “official” photographer turned out to be a flake, she’s a blast to work with, and she takes amazing photos!

This may sound cliche, but I love Ansel Adams. I love that he not only shot nature and the simple beauty of the environment (similar to some of your examples) but that he genuinely cared about the environment as well.

I also think black and white is classic.

You should think about opening up a shop (either through your blog or on Etsy) and sell some of your prints. You might make a little extra money and honestly you wouldn’t be doing anything different from what you are now. You could probably set it up (financially) through Jenna Cole Photography but I don’t know the details about how that all works.

My favorite photographer would be Jeff Hall from Greenville, SC who did my wedding. However – I also really love A Beautiful Mess Photography out of Charlotte, NC – a husband and wife team that are just seriously talented with their craft

I have to admit that I don’t really have a favorite photographer, I more fall in love with certain pictures for a while… but lately I was fascinated by Punam Bean’s trips to the Rat Temple she went to so I’d have to say her, for this time

My favorite photographer … that’s so hard! For an advertising photog, I love Hunter Freeman. He’s funny, so good with kids and animals, and he shot the Pets.com puppet print ads, which is one of my faves ever.

For art (not that they are exclusive), Ansel Adams. There’s one photo he took in Taos that just stays in my head.
