I realized this week that it’s time to do some polling! I’m assuming there are several of you would enjoy the chance to put your divination skills to the test.
First, the obvious (and the most fun because you have a 50/50 shot of being right), will it be a boy or a girl?
Next, the weight. I was 6 lbs something oz myself and I’m hoping for something similar. Feel free to choose one of my answers or write in your own!
I’m really hoping for a head dripping in thick dark hair. Will I get what I’m hoping for?
I admit, at this point I’m hoping for like, tomorrow, but I don’t think that will be the case. What day do you think baby will take his/her first breath?
And an updated belly shot (taken at 36 weeks, I’m now about a day shy of 38!)…

I guessed an 7.5 lb. girl with next to no hair born on April 13th. The only reason I went with the 13th is because that’s my birthday. And while I absolutely HATED people telling me that I should have my son on their birthday (like I was gonna be able to just deliver on their birthdays at the flick of a switch), I thought it would be cool if you did actually. No, actually more like I saw all the poll dates and almost didn’t click any and then realized my birthdate was there so, “Ok, I’ll click that one.”
BUT! Seeing as your 38 weeks now, I hope you don’t have to wait the whole way to the 13th to meet your baby!

My family is Polish (we left poland, grandmothers still live there), so i’m curious, are you planning on giving baby a name that has a Polish equivalent? or can have a Polish nickname? Is that important to TH?
I ask because I’m undecided if that would be important to me in the future (LONG ways away from ever having a baby)
Also do you have a name picked out? I’ve always thought i would never be sure until I actually saw my baby. I’m amazed at women who know and even start monogramming things with baby’s name. What if baby doesn’t look like a Jack?!

I know Jenna has TONS of things to respond to, so if she doesn’t get to this right away I’ll tell you what I know/think…they’re giving the baby a Polish middle name. It’s likely that the Polish family members will use that name I think.
Also, they’re narrowing baby names down, but as far as I know they don’t have it down to one for each gender.

Still no names picked up! We have a few we really like if it’s a boy but if it’s a girl… she’s going to be known as Baby B for at least the first few days!

Mmh that looks yummy and definitely a worthy place to celebrate your last few days/weeks together.
It made me smile 1)for a spelling mistake “flour de sel” instead of “fleur de sel” which makes it well flour of salt instead of flower of salt.
2)One of their dish has piment d’espelette, that’s a special pepper grown in the Basque country in southwest France, it made me think of home.

I am going to guess boy because you didn’t throw up at all due to morning sickness (you didn’t seem to be too sick, very reading the blog). The baby will have hair because you have mentioned you have had bad heartburn. You aren’t HUGE so I am going to say a medium sized healthy baby at about 7.7lbs. And seeing as how most babies esp. first ones are late, I am going to say April 14th or 15th. Blessings!
