Kelli has been leaking images into my inbox one at a time, most of which are a complete surprise to me since I was usually sleeping while she was shooting unless I needed to be in the photo with little P. This one is particularly special since TH and I brought the trunk he is resting on back with us from Poland when we visited for Christmas, it was a gift from his parents. Kelli is for sure amazing. I’m still having a hard time this photo was taken in my living room!

So adorable! Does she use one of those faux-wood floor mats or how did she get that shot in your living room? I’ve seen those mats (wood/stone/brick/etc) and think they are so awesome!

I can definitely see this one framed and on one of your bedroom shelves.
You’re going to have to make her move to Chicago or you’re going to miss having her around.

I think it is amazing that he is sleeping through all this. Does he really just let you pose him and he won’t wake up? He looks so peaceful!

I was there for several days, so I photographed him two days in a row. The first day he was NOT sleepy and that’s when we got most of the other shots you’ve seen so far (except the one in Jenna’s hands). We did get some sleepy shots, but not very many. This was taken on the second day and something just clicked and the boy was out! He slept and I photographed (every now and then getting him back to sleep) for a couple of hours. When I put him on the trunk I was afraid he’d startle or wake up, but he just stayed right there and slept! I DID move him to a chair after this shot and he started crying. Good thing I did this one first
.
The older the baby the easier they wake. I photographed a 7-day-old girl last week and she slept THE ENTIRE TIME. She kept on sleeping after the shoot too. Once they hit day 10 or so it’s harder to keep most of them asleep during a shoot.

Wow, gorgeous. I’m thinking a framed version of this would be the perfect present for Those Grandparents in Poland!
