My sister has been sick recently (it’s complicated, and I guarantee they have already seen a doctor for any remedies you might suggest) so I rerouted my flight to Utah so I could spend a week with her. I flew in on Monday, my parents came on Thursday, and the four of us left my sister behind on Sunday. The two of us haven’t seen each other since Christmas and it’s strange to think that this is what the rest of our lives will be like. We should have married brothers from the Columbia Basin like we always planned to!

The only picture we ended up taking of the two of us together. For shame! We’re fixing that at Christmas this year.

Playing his favorite game. “Where’s T1? Where’s T1? There he is!

My brother-in-law’s dad made this chair for him. Won’t my sister be able to do the cutest photo shoots with her babies?

I tear up a little when I look at these. My parents love T1 so much.

On Saturday morning I woke up early and drove down to Provo to spend some time with two of my college besties. We walked across the street to the perfect park. I don’t know if you can see it very well, but it’s shaped like a giant bowl with steep edge on all sides. Perfect place for a walking baby because he can’t climb out!

Saturday evening we were trying to come up with a family activity and I lamented that there was no Top Golf in Utah. We decided to visit a driving range, which was actually really fun! It was relatively inexpensive, they had an old car out there that we could try to hit, and my parents knew just enough to give us some tips on how to not miss the ball quite so often.

T1 has his tongue sticking out just a little bit in that picture on the left. I die over that cuteness!

We found someone who knew how to use a camera to take our picture on Sunday right after church. It was so nice to spend time together as a family, even if our husbands couldn’t be there (my sister’s was out of town and mine is still in Chicago). As our little families grow bigger and bigger weeks like this will become more and more infrequent so I tried hard to remind myself to soak it up as much as I could. I feel lucky to have such a great family. I love you guys!
