Last week I went in for a trim (Olivia Christensen cut it and I loved her split end technique, if you happen to be in the area and would like to go see her :) ), and I thought it would be a nice chance to show you how crazy small the town I grew up in is.

The view to the west right outside my parent’s door.

The hair salon is just about smack dab in the middle of time. It’s housed in a place that used to be a video rental store. There really isn’t any rush to change the signage because everyone in town knows about the switch already.

If I look to the right, I see one half of the street that makes up Royal City.

If I look to the left I see the other half. And that’s about all there is here.

As you might have guessed, the salon itself is very small. Here is where she washed my hair.

And here is where she cut it. That’s it!

I didn’t do anything drastic, my hair is still nice and long, I just wanted her to take the dead ends off so I could brush through it easier.

Now do you believe me when I say I’m from a really small town?
