Our trip to the park and my obsessing over the new iPhone have nothing to do with each other really. I’ve been watching the iPhone rumor site for months now, as my contract expired in July and I’ve been waiting to get a new phone ever since. My home button has been on the fritz, which works well as a deterrent for a toddler that likes pushing it over and over*, and I am greatly looking forward to an updated camera to the one found in my 3gs. I’ll be stalking Twitter for the expected news all day today. That Husband tells me not to get excited because it will be a long while before the phones will be in stock and I’ll be able to get one without waiting in line over night. Is this true? How long does it actually take to get the new one when it comes out?

I also discovered a new blog that I really love. Kitchen Corners is written by Da, and I love her no-nonsense writing style, truly evident in this post about watermelon popsicles. I am all about mothers fessing up the the imperfections of their parenting style. Oh! And my favorite blog, Word of Widsom Living? He mentioned me in a post! I feel so cool now.

Yesterday we spent some time at the park (we’re trying to get in as much time there as possible with this sunny weather) and T1 spent some time with a little friend he adores. He gets so excited about things that he can turn kind of aggressive, but I promise this throw-down you see happening is one of love. He tries to do this with me sometimes, but I’m much bigger and stronger so it never works. :)

I took some pictures of my friend with her son.

And then we switched and she took some of me with mine! I used my standby method to get him to smile, tickling his inner thigh.

Also we cut his hair again. We did it on Day In The Life day, so I have pictures of the process to show you later.

Look at those baby blues!

We plan to be at the park every day until the cold weather drives us indoors for the long, long winter. I have a feeling this winter is going to be much more difficult than last year, because he didn’t care about leaving the apartment. An 18-month old though, loves to go bye-bye. That’s all he would do all day if I let him.

*If you have an iPhone/iPad/iDevice and you also have a toddler, get the Bubcap. I have one on my iPad and it is awesome!
