Style Files: Gap Sequins
I think I’ve told you already that we call this the magic dress? I’ve had it for almost a decade and it’s done a beautiful job weathering a variety of climates and weight points for me. I’d wear it every day if I could.
Dress: Gap
Jacket: Gap (thrifted)
Necklace: Sarah Briggs
Earrings: Sarah Briggs
Shoes: Vince Camuto

I love today’s outfit!! I definitely need a dress like that. How do you keep it looking so nice and black over so many years? It still looks brand new! Seems like every dress I own looks tired after a few years. Love that necklace as well!

I definitely haven’t taken good care of it. Gap gets all the credit for that! Washed it on hot and dried it on high many, many times.

Cute! Like the bold necklace a lot. And wow, a dress that lasts 10 years and lots of body changes? Amazing. I can’t tell from the jacket, so what’s the top like that it allows such leeway? The A-line skirt part is definitely universally flattering to almost all women.

The top goes out to the end of my shoulders. You can see it over a blue shirt here: http://thatwifeblog.com/2012/01/23/florence-what-we-did/

Gotta love an lbd! Although I think I would do either the shrug or the necklace…since they are both statement pieces.

3Love the dress and the jacket but I’m with Allison k and would skip the necklace as it seems to compete with both the jacket and earrings.
