On Graduating

As T2 and I made our way across the stage at my undergraduate convocation I felt overwhelmed. My family contributed so much to make this happen and I can’t thank them enough.

It feels magnificent to say I will never have to mark “some college” on a form or application ever again.

To my Father-In-Law: Your first grandchild wasn’t born to a college-educated mother, but your second grandchild will be. :)

  2. congrats on both graduating (go you!) and on baby number two. wishing you a wonderful pregnancy and many weeks of euphoria for completing your degree :)

  3. Oh my gosh!! Congratulations on both pieces of extremely exciting news. I’m so glad we are pregnant at the same time :)

  4. Congratulations on BOTH!!! I must have missed your T2 announcement somewhere along the way. . . or is this a sneaky way of letting us know? =D So happy for you!!

My friend Janssen at everydayreading.blogspot.com announced her pregnancy the same way. I thought it was really clever!

  5. As I said before, our family is incredibly excited and happy for your amazing accomplishment. Your focus and determination has been inspiring and now there’s even more reason to be happy. Much live to all of you :)

  6. Congratulations!!! Your graduating is a HUGE accomplishment! Umm that that baby news is pretty darn amazing all on it’s own!! Our first children are the same age and now it looks like our second ones will be also! It will be nice to see how someone else is handling the change!

If we lived next to each other our kids could play together! Was the fist a boy or girl? Are you finding out with the second?

  7. Oh! Congratulations on both accounts! I’ve been wondering if a T2 would be on his/her way soon after you graduated!

  8. Double Congrats on a degree and a new baby! How exciting to take so many steps at once – graduation, big move and new city and a new child. :0)

  9. Congrats on Baby #2! Will you home birth this time around as well?

On another note: I do hope that your father-in-law doesn’t determine your entire worth due to your status as a college graduate. You have so many other qualities that make you who you are. The term “college graduate” does mean a lot (it is something I am personally proud of calling myself) but it does not define who I am as a person. I wouldn’t want anyone, especially my in-laws, to judge my life’s worth based on my ability to complete college.

  10. Congratulations!! I can’t imagine the excitement for all 4 of you, and can’t wait to see and hear all the future has in store for you. Wooo Graduate!

  11. AHHHH!!! So exciting! I thought you guys weren’t ready yet?! I must have read that first like 5 times, I kept thinking it was a typo! So thrilled for you!

  12. Congratulations jenna! That is so wonderful you worked so hard to get your degree. Major props to you and your family! And congratulations on T2! I just had my 2nd and am loving it. I think the best thing in the whole world is seeing your 1st connect and love your 2nd!
