Tele Scripture Study

That Husband is gone Monday-Friday this week. Sometimes it’s Monday-Thursday. Sometimes it’s Tuesday-Thursday. Almost always it’s “gone from wife for an extended period of time.”

Snuggling up in our king size bed reading scriptures together is the best. Second best? Tele Scripture Study.

When we have kids Tele Scripture Study will be eliminated in favor of Family Scripture Study (with our without That Daddy). For now though, I revel in these times where we strengthen and share our mutual faith with one another over the phone, because this is our life right now.

We aim for 30 minutes/day. We don’t always make it that long (and sometimes longer), but I always feel happy, peaceful, and safe when it’s over. There really is no better way to end the night.

   Ugh, I do not envy you the Long Distance stuff. I am quite happy to have that put far behind me.

   But it was those little rituals, calling at a certain time, that kept me sane and calm too.

   You really have to build up a different kind of communication and more tolerance when doing the long distance thing.

   That is such a lovely idea. At one point Ryan and I were doing a nightly Bible study, this reminds me that I’d like to start doing that again. It is so wonderful to see you continuing to build a foundation of faith!
