Love Me Some Squash
I ate it with Kelli Nicole a few weeks ago when I was in Houston and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I wake up in the morning and think “Can I have some squash for breakfast?” Slice it up, drizzle the pan with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and sautee until very tender. I plan on eating it for lunch every single day until one eyeball turns green, and the other turns yellow.
Do you sometimes latch onto foods, unable to get your fill of them?
Oh, and later today I’m brining you step-by-step tutorials for two loaves of bread I made yesterday. I’ve been baking up a storm lately!
Sounds yummy!
Thanks for the recommendation! I’ve been wanting a tanktop or spaghetti strap one to wear under tshirts that have a high neck but I can never find any…but that is very helpful! Thanks!

2OK I love squash. Butternut squash is likely my fave … and as a soup its so good. Now I’d like to eat the green and yellow kind, too.
Maybe this weekend!
And yes I totally latch on to foods, and its usually breakfast food I get attached to. Peanut Butter and Jelly was BIG when I was a kid (yes I ate it for breakfast). Then, more recently yogurt and now oatmeal. I also love love love plain cheerios with banana slices.
Ruh roh. Now I might need cheerios tomorrow, instead of oatmeal. That’s CRAZY talk.

3I love squash too!! But the veggie that I love most is broccoli…seriously. I usually steam broccolli 7 times a week and have even been known to eat it for breakfast!!!

4Ooo squash is one of my favorites! And it’s just starting to come into season, so you don’t really have to get over your phase till September or so. Unfortunately, the only foods I get really crazed about are the ones that are just awful for me. I’ll get fixed on chicken wings sometimes, sometimes a sunflower seeds. See what I mean?

5I just might have to go buy a couple of these! Lately it’s been mushrooms for me… chopped up like potato chips and raw… don’t worry they are washed… and SO good!

6I love squash! It is so good wrapped in foil and cooked on the grill (or right now, cooked on my little counter top George Foreman grill).
As for latching onto foods, right now I’m into anything pomengranate-flavored. I just can’t get enough!

9I have been obsessed with baby spinach sauteed with garlic and onions. I can’t get enough. The only bad thing is that you’ll have this huge bag of it and after it wilts, it kinda shrinks to nothing. But it’s still oh so tasty.

10Haha, we used to eat squash almost every time we cooked, until we started getting whatever was on special, but i still love it to death. If you have a grill, you should try making a foil packet with the squash, salt, pepper, and oil (or a bit of butter if you want to treat yourself) and then putting in on the grill for a few minutes, amaaaaazzinnnnnnnngggg.

11I’m totally turning into a blog stalker, but I can’t help it. I’m addicted.
Anyway, I always latch on to different foods for breakfast and I will eat them for a couple months.
It was peanut butter and toast, then a bagel with jelly, then those “Bagelfuls” (totally not good for you) then HB Eggs, and now I’m moving over to fruit.

12I love anything with zucchini in the summer time!
Especially my grandmother’s breaded zucchini… can’t get enough!

13Yum! Love zucchini too. But I’m also obsessed with sweet potatoes, sliced into wedges, baked for twenty minutes and totally naked… No sauce or seasoning. Sometimes, I’ll add some Parmesan mix seasoning with a spray of evoo, but mostly, plain. Easy snack!!

You should try a few sprinkles of curry powder on your sweet potatoes. DELISH!

mmm, that’s one of my favorite foods that my dude hates (he’s not a fan of anything green that isn’t salad). It’s super yummy over angel hair pasta for dinner with a little grated parm, sea salt and fresh black pepper. Yum and easy. I add a fried egg or a piece of fish for protein and have a cheap, easy dinner in 15-20 min.
