I’m looking for a lawyer in Dallas who can help me build a strong photography contract. Anyone?

Most of the contracts can be found online and it can save you a ton-o-money. Most contracts are boilerplate language which means they are all the same except for a few minor tweaks. I can ask around for you though. I know a few attorneys in Austin.

I’m not a Lawyer, but my contract is pretty stiff. You could either use it to go off of, or just use it for your contract. Email me if you want me to send it over.

I’m not a lawyer nor do I live in Dallas. However, at work, I’ve signed and negotiated a lot of photography contracts, including web rights, exclusive buyouts, etc. Drop me a note if you want any feedback from an advertising prospective, or if you may be doing work for commercial purposes.

Try legalzoom.com — it’d be much cheaper than an hour of any lawyer’s time.

Randy Sandifer is a friend of my dad’s here in DFW that he generally recommends to people when they need legal advice or representation.

I was just coming here to tell you I saw a commercial for legalzoom.com. Not sure if it’s any good but it mint be worth looking in to. Can’t trust lawyers, can’t trust Internet people, maybe the two cancel each other out

Have you tried working with your local Small Business Administration or SCORE? Both provide a lot of free services to small businesses.
They probably wouldn’t draft an original contract for you, but you could draft one based off of templates you can find online (or buy Business and Legal Forms for Photographers), and they would probably be able to help revise it, and make sure it is complete.
