April Photo Challenge Results: Favorite Photo

My favorite photo for this month was taken at the wedding of our close friends, Jasher and Lindsey. I love it because it conveys the reality of a wedding. You’re exhausted, you’re happy, you’re content, you are married.

My favorite April pictures are attached to this message. I took them this past weekend in Boston, MA, where my boyfriend ran the Boston marathon. He ran really, really well (he placed #158 out of 26,000 runners!) and after the race that day, he took me out to the start line and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes, because he is everything I’ve always dreamed about. I’ve attached a picture of us right after he put the ring on my finger, and also a picture of the start line where he asked me.

“This is the dalmation mix puppy that randomly showed up at my parent’s over Easter. Isn’t she adorable? They turned her over to a rescue organization to help her find a forever home, but I had to snap a photo of her cuteness first.”

I picked a picture from my walk on the dike visiting the lambs. It was a great experience, it was a lovely day and beautiful pictures were taken.

Without Adornment

My favourite photo that I took was a rose from the bouquet Mr. Bean got me when I got back from the field:

his is one of my favorite photos EVER. PERIOD. The framing. The bright colors. Those eyes! And this is SOOC with just a little bit of contrast. Her eyes are truly that blue. It’s INSANE! I’m truly jealous.

Mandy

I snapped this picture just as my nephew, Pierce, was about to have a meltdown because “all the other kids have more eggs than him.” I love this picture, not because he is upset, but because of how well it managed to capture his emotion, and the fact that it reminds me that kids aren’t all smiles all the time.

Tiffany

I took this photo while we were having lunch in Amsterdam. I started snapping some pictures (and the Mister is my favorite subject), when I noticed I could catch the reflection of the square in his sunglasses.

These are two seats at the new Yankees Stadium. I love heading to baseball games with my husband and baseball season means summer is just around the corner. As an added bonus, the new stadium as cup holders at every seat - even the nose-bleed section!

This is my favorite photo in April because I think it captures how excited New Yorkers are to see Spring peeking through. These trees are just outside my apartment and they have cheered me up since their peek blooms two weeks ago. On my way back from the grocery store, I saw this painter and I laughed at just how happy Manhattanites are for some color on our grey streets!

  3. Oh! I’m sad that I somehow missed this challenge! Maybe it was when I was in Italy and when I got back I had like 12 or so new posts to catch up on. Oh well. So many beautiful, happy pictures!
