The Salt Flats Shoot Preview
On Wednesday night That Mom (AKA Denise Andersen Photography), That Sister, cousin Aubree, and myself went out toward the Utah Salt Flats for the most amazing shoot I’ve done so far. If you think these iPhone pictures look good, wait until you see the pro pics TM and I took!
This is the “set” That Mom came up with. Her creativity blows my mind.
Why is it necessary for me to have my legs in the air while shooting? I have no idea. The shot I got while down here there is absolutely one of my favorite! I think because my ridiculous position made That Sister laugh, a real laugh that looks great on film.
That Sister is a natural model and I loved taking her picture.
I was able to squeeze my chubby soft self into my wedding dress again for some sister shooting time! We posed, we leaped, we ran. Oh my!
P.S.-When I saw sister’s dress I admit I was jealous. I wanted it for myself. But then I put my dress back on and I realized how much I love it.
Then it was time for TS to have some more alone time in front of the camera…
and so I finished out the shoot in my own wedding dress. Evelyn (my dress) and I have been through a lot together!
You probably won’t be seeing the pro pics for awhile, as we are going to try to get them published. Think of the pitch “We did a shoot out in Utah with Mother and Daughter shooting Daughter, and Mother shooting Daughter and Daughter in their wedding dresses together.”
the setup and location look great. excited to see how the photos turn out

4I can’t wait to see the pro pics - the contrast between the setup and the salt flat looks gorgeous even from these shoots.
I LOVE your dress. That Watters design has always been on my ‘when the time comes’ top ten since I saw it when helping my cousin dress hunt. Modest, classic and so flattering.

5We both know that I am not a natural model. Thanks for the compliment though. Just ask mom and she will show you many shots where I look pissed off instead of serenely happy. I don’t know how I end up with the mad expression when I think I am smiling with my mouth closed? I can’t wait to see the real shots either! I will get to see some when I head to Washington next weekend… yey!
One week anniversary for Shay and Dan was great in Cancun!
