Last night I went to bed at about 1:30 after getting back late from the wedding. I then woke up at 5:30 am for a session, shot for almost 2 hours, came home and slept for an hour, got ready for the day, met up with the lovely Nole, did some headshots, was treated to brunch, bought cupcakes from CakeLove, was picked up by my friend Marissa, went to the temple, did some service in the temple, ate two cupcakes on the car ride back, changed my clothes, went out on a maternity/family/duet shoot, and came back to my hotel and collapsed in bed to write this post and consider napping versus eating.
I’m really wondering if I can drink this Fiji water sitting at my bedside. Is it free? I never know with these fancy hotels. They put out a glass and a coaster and the bottle of water is sitting on the nightstand RIGHT next to me. Are they trying to weasel me out of $6? These are such hard questions.
You want to know the other hard question? Can I eat like a pauper the rest of this trip so I can room service the least expensive dinner item sent up to my room so I don’t have to leave this bed while I feed my face.
I think I will take a nap and sleep on it for a bit.

Congrats on a very productive day!!
The wonderful thing about a city hotel… you can order room service (at the price of an appendage or two) or you can order in food from elsewhere and still never have to leave your bed.

Yes, I’d order in from an outside place too! The only time I’ve had room service was on a cruise because it was free (all food is included, woo-hoo!)
Sounds like a busy day - I’d be curling up in bed for sure with a medium pizza…I mean…a great big salad with grilled chicken…

I am so happy you went to CakeLove!!! Yummy!!!
The water should be free, but I guess you could always call down and ask! Have fun on the rest of your trip!

My pressing question — what did you think of the CakeLove cupcakes??? Mr T and I do NOT get the love for that place. We went to a cake tasting there pre-wedding, and the 4 tasting couples all declined to bring any of the leftovers home. (It’s a bad sign when I turn down free cake!!)
But I keep thinking maybe I’m missing something. Maybe the cupcakes are better? What’s your independent-out-of-towner take on the issue?

My husband doesn’t like Cakelove at all, either! It’s weird; I feel like that particular cupcakery really polarizes people or something. Me? If there’s frosting and spongy cake goodness, I like it. Where did you have brunch, Jenna??

I too was going to ask about Cake Love. What did you think? I’m firmly in the group on haters-tried a couple cupcakes and couldn’t stomach more than a couple bites. Love Cupcake Actually in Fairfax though.

I headed down to the DC area this weekend too and passed the temple on 495…it is such an impressive sight when you come around the curve. Sounds like you had fun!

Next time you need to go to Georgetown Cupcake- put it on your list for October. Red Velvet, chocolate vanilla (on Martha Stewart for that one), and lava fudge.
Worth ANY wait in line. Promise.
