I have had so many of you take the time to let me know how much you appreciate my Sunday posts and learning about my belief system. Thank you for your kind words and letting me know that! You leave me feeling motivated and I want to work to share even more with you throughout the coming year. In 2009 there were so many things I wanted to post about for Sunday posts, but never seemed to get around to! I’ve decided to implement a schedule in 2010 that will help keep me motivated and hopefully prevent me from feeling overwhelmed.
The 1st Sunday of every month I’ll be continuing my series on the Articles of Faith, because they cover so many basic (and sometimes very different!) principles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have 6 articles faith, and once those are finished I’ll begin answering reader questions on the 1st Sunday.
The 2nd and 3rd Sundays will feature posts from the newly revamped Gospel Principles manual. I’m excited about writing these posts because they will be going up the same week I am being taught the lesson in Church, which means (for once in my life) I’ll have read the lesson ahead of time and be prepared! The teachers are going to love me for that.
The 4th Sunday will feature links to my favorite blog posts from the “bloggernacle” (as the LDS blogging community has nicknamed itself), a short review of the non-fiction LDS book I read for the month, and any links to LDS related audio or video I found interesting. (If you have any links that you think will fit into the 4th Sunday post, please send them my way!)
There are four months with five Sundays this year, and on those weeks I’ll either write a post answering one of the many questions from readers that I’ve received (I have them all written down and hope to get to them eventually!), or I’ll write something a bit on the lighter side. Maybe I’ll try to track down guest posters for those week so you can see another perspective entirely on the LDS faith!
I hope that this schedule creates content that you will enjoy reading as much as I anticipate writing it. Thank you again for all of you wonderful feedback. If you have any questions regarding the LDS faith, please do send them to me at thatwife {at} gmail {dot} com. Don’t worry about offending me or sounding silly, I would love to converse with you in any way about the belief system that brings me so much joy!

Can’t wait! I love your Sunday posts and look forward to the great conversation. I’m looking forward as well to the new books for Relief Society and in Sunday school.

I am a non-LDS reader who loves reading the Sunday posts. Glad you’ll keep it up in 2010 in a way that doesn’t leave you too overwhelmed!
I know others have suggested that they/we would be interested in a guest post from TH. I would be especially interested in reading about people’s domestic or international missionary experiences. Perhaps that could be Sunday links, even, if you know any missionaries who are blogging?
Happy Sunday!

Wonderful suggestion Cristin! I’m going to send a Facebook message to some of my LDS friends who served missions to see if any of them would be interested in guest posting. Believe me, these missionaries have stories that will make you pee your pants because of the culture shock that missions often provide (also they have strong testimonies of the work they did!). Maybe I can get TH to write down and agree to post his story of the lady in the Bronx who had all of her teeth pulled after taking too many drugs. That’s right, ALL OF THEM!

I’m so excited about this series. Especially, the ones on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday. Haha. They may end up helping me a bit. This year will definitely be interesting, not having a prophet as the main subject for Relief Society and/or Elders Quorum.

I too am glad the Sunday post will be back! I think posts from past missionaries would be great. As someone who joined the church just 4 years ago, missionary work is near and dear to my heart.

Cool, I love your Sunday posts, even if I don’t comment on them as much!
