Remember this photo?
And remember how over 100 of you took the time to register and vote for me, leaving me $500 richer than I was before? As in, I WON!
Next week, I’m going to share some of that bounty with you guys, in the form of a giveaway I’ve deemed “Favorite Things Giveaway Week”. I’m no Oprah, but there are some things I’ve discovered that make my life just a little bit sweeter, and I’ve chosen 13 different things to share with 13 lucky readers. Each weekday next week two or three posts will go up each day featuring a different little something I love having in my life. All you have to do is comment and answer the question posed in the post to enter! Each giveaway will only be open until 11:59 pm on the night the post goes up, so you’ll need to keep checking in throughout the week to make sure you don’t miss out on anything! All of the winners will be announced in one big post on Saturday, February 27th.
Favorite Things Giveaway Week starts on Monday, February 22nd!

Oh well, I’ll be missing it. I’m going on a vacation with my in-laws and won’t have internet access since we’ll be on a cruise.
Well good to luck to everyone.

I love that you do things like this with your blog! It is so kind of you since you certainly don’t have to and could justify spending that money on pampering you and the baby! I’m excited to see what you put up!

Are you really happy with your life? And how can you think God only wanted girls to stay at home? Does that mean you hate/disrespect/think wrong of women who actually go outside, get a job, and sustain their own existance?

Comments like this drive me nuts! I can’t believe people really spend so much of their time trying to attack TW for her own personal opinions. I’d love to ask Tom whether trying to make others feel bad for what they believe in and do makes him happy in his life.

Remember the giveaway you did for 10,000 comments - where you could enter different levels of giveaways by the number of comments?
Well, for this one, maybe you should really bring the trolls into the fold. You know, something like ‘the most hateful, random, didn’t-your-mother-teach-you-any-better comments’ and you get some prize. I mean, how could you live your life Jenna without these people that so tactfully correct your misguided decisions? You really owe them.

Have you had a chance to see the blog about the woman who’s faked her Mormon conversion to marry her then-boyfriend, now husband? It’s a blog that came up via a Post Secret card and immediately made me think of you. Would love to hear if you have any thoughts about this new blog and if it’s possible to “fake” being Mormon.

Really interesting site! Not sure if I will subscribe but I do find her experience to be quite interesting. It’s like someone writing from the inside of a circle that I’m a part of from a completely different perspective that I’ve never seen before.
I most certainly think it is possible to fake being a Mormon, and I think plenty of people do it, though probably not to the extent that she is doing (and I admit I think that when her husband eventually finds out about her blog it could have huge consequences on her marriage that could be very sad). Though we talk a lot about the “rules” of the Church that need to be obeyed to do things like enter the temple, they never check up on you to make sure you do them. To attend/be married in the temple you simply sit down across from a man and answer a series of questions.
Being a mormon takes a lot of time out of your life, 3 hours of church on Sunday, family activities on the weekends once a month or so, temple nights once a month (though I’m not sure if she is still attending the temple), gatherings with the women once a month, feeding the missionaries, visiting teaching 2-3 women with a partner, being visit taught by 2 other women, and I’m sure there is more I haven’t thought of. She must love her husband a lot to participate in all of that just for him!
