Pop Goes the Belly!
It’s been awhile since I’ve shown you an updated belly photo from my week by week series (which I’ve turned into a bimonthly event instead of weekly, which is much easier on me!), and the difference is HUGE.
What you last saw:
And what I look like as of Sunday, February 28th:
If you would like to see the full progression up to this point, you can click here to visit the slideshow I made with all of the belly photos I’ve taken so far.
*For those who are curious about me being okay with showing my belly when I talk so much about modesty, please see this reply I wrote to an earlier comment on the topic of birth photography and modesty.
That’s just incredible. You look beautiful.

1Cute! I loved having a ginormous belly. Oh, and here is a really interesting blog post on modesty by an LDS woman. She’s got some great posts! http://itsallaboutthehat.blogspot.com/2010/02/no-clothes-for-me.html

3For some reason the slide show doesn’t open for me. You are looking great though, not much time left at all!

4Maybe I’m weird, but I think your face has slimmed a bit at week 34. Maybe it’s because your hair is different? Either way, I think you are looking great.

I was going to say the same.
Jenna in the last weeks your face seems thinner. It doesn’t look bloated like it did in some earlier pictures.
Seeing the all slideshow makes me understand how hard it must be to go through such a major body change in such little time.
Are you still dealing ok with it? Or is it hard at times and are you just looking forward to having your body back.

No, I’m not doing ok with it. I’m ready to have the baby out so I can focus on losing weight once again. It’s hard to look back on photos of myself right before I got pregnant and not miss that former self.

I’m sorry to hear that. It’s a good thing this is all for a good reason isn’t it. But I’m sure you’ll start feeling more like yourself… well really like a new self as you’ll be a mom then. Plus I heard breastfeeding can help, I cross my fingers that it will be the case for you. And hopefully you’ll get a stroller for the baby shower and then you can take your little one on walks
It’s just crazy though how differently bodies handle this. My collegue’s daughter just had a baby, on her pregnant pictures she is all belly and her mom told me that she barely looks like she was ever pregnant besides a little pouch two weeks later.

9Jenna do you have a guess as to what you are having (gender-wise)? I know that some people think you can tell by the way you are carrying the baby, and I feel like you are carrying it high.

Hmmm I just googled it and it says that you may be having a girl, but who knows.

I think I’m carrying high as well. Especially since I have this nice pad of fat right on the bottom of my belly that makes me look a little fuller down there than I actually am.
I kind of think, but mostly am hoping, it’s a girl.

11Holy cow, week 34! Congrats!! I know sometimes first babies go late, but Elsa was born at week 37. So week 34 always strikes me as the start of the “good heavens, you’re really almost there” period….. You must be so excited! Good luck!

13You could rest a drink on that thing!
You look GREAT! Just a little bit longer now.
P.S. For what it’s worth, I’m guessing girl, too. Can’t wait to find out! I can’t believe you held out this long.

15Put me in the disbelief club: I can’t believe it’s week 34 already! Seems like this is going so fast.

16You look gorgeous, lovely! I can’t believe you are just six weeks out.
I thought the same things as the others, you look like your body has seriously lost bloat while your belly has popped. You don’t look, to me, like you have gained much in ages - Real Food Diet at work!
