Needing a Designer for Jenna Cole

Posted by Jenna, Under Photography

Now that I feel like I have my packaging headed in the right direction, it’s time for me to start thinking about other aspects of my branding, such as the Jenna Cole gallery site and blog. Currently I don’t even have a gallery site because I’ve been really picky, wanting to avoid using flash but unsure how to do it because I can’t afford to pay someone to custom design a site for me. I’ve recently realized that it’s time for me to get over my silly ideas and get a gallery site up because I think it’s an experience that clients really enjoy.

Unfortunately I’m awful at design, something I’ve told you many times. And if remember what the That Wife logo used to look like before Jess Lehry got her hands on it, I’m sure you already knew that. I’ve been playing around with the Jenna Cole blog design lately, and this is what I’ve settled on for now, but I don’t love it and I know that it has the potential to look so much better. It’s a ProPhoto 2.0 template.

For my gallery site, I’m thinking I’d like to purchase the Mint theme by Intro the Darkroom. I realize it would make the most sense to buy the blog template that matches the ITD Mint theme, but I’ve already paid for the ProPhoto and I don’t want to buy another. I’m leaning toward the Mint theme because of the simple design, and because it is mobile phone ready, something that’s very important to me. The background and colors can all be customized so I think it would be possible to design a gallery site and blog that have a cohesive look.

Instead of spending hours attempting to come up with a design for both sites that matches each other and matches what I’m aiming for with the Jenna Cole brand, I thought I’d advertise here that I’m looking for a designer. This job won’t require any knowledge of website coding, as you’ll just need the technical expertise to log into the backend of my sites and tweak things using the very user friendly menus. If you think you are the right person for the job, email me a quote at thatwife {at} gmail {dot} com. In addition to whatever you charge, I’ll also pimp your awesome services right here on That Wife in your very own post!

  1. I’m so sad you found that Mint theme first, because I love it :) ! Rounded corners are my favorite and it looks similar to the site I designed for myself but didn’t have coded.

I wrote this post and then went back to the site and discovered they launched a new theme called Naked Clove which I like even better. So you can have Mint and I can have clove?
