I promised that I would keep people updated on my travel schedule, and although two places that I’m really wanting to visit (California and Utah) aren’t on the list, I can keep my fingers crossed, right?
First two weeks of October: Europe
Third week of October: Dallas
Week before Thanksgiving: Portland/Central Washington (Home)
Third Week of February: Las Vegas
First week of March: Dallas
First week of April: Dallas
First Week of August: New Hampshire
Oh, and if you haven’t heard, I’m waiving travel fees for Jenna Cole weddings in the continental US between April and August of next year. I’m planning on making another announcement when I finally get my new website done, but do contact me through jenna {at} jennacole {dot} com if you’re interested!
Zero travel fees means I’ll probably be traveling to some different places around the US next summer, and maybe I’ll come wherever you are. If you see that I’m headed your way and you’d like to book a session, send me an email and we’ll see if we can work something out.
P.S.-Still no internet and still no passport. I had TH dictate the “internet saga” and it took him 15 minutes just to dictate everything we’ve done so far! It includes mysteriously cancelled order, denials that people in our building have the service we’re asking for (even though people in our building say they have it), and ends with us hating AT&T with the fire of a thousand suns (I’d almost consider switching cell service to another provider, but I need my iPhone, I’m an addict!)

I have to say, I wish I was getting married between April & August of 2011. Maybe I’ll get lucky and my boyfriend will propose!

Hey, Jenna:
E-mail me directly (I think you can see my e-mail address) and I’ll send you my cell phone number. Let me see if I can escalate through our PR2Refer program. I am traveling, but am online until 2:00 EST if you can reach me before then.
We can try to “go live” together too.

Wow! That looks like a lot of fun!
I am so sorry about the continued drama with the Internet and passport. How maddening. Here’s hoping things will get figured out soon!

SO, we had major issues getting internet when we moved too, and guess who’s the provider? AT&T!! I HATE THEM!!! We finally had to go to a sandwich place with free wifi to order it online, only to have the guy who was going to install it put the order in for the wrong apartment. And WE had to fix the problem, which ended up being us putting another order in. But then once it was finally installed there was issues actually using it, since we had gotten our modem with the first order so had all the wrong numbers, etc. etc… Needless to say we were NOT happy. And would totally get rid of them, only they’re the only high speed internet providers here. So for all you others, BEWARE OF AT&T!! (Oh, and we have iphones too, but they are dealt with through AT&T in Atlanta (maybe because we’re from the east coast?), whereas our internet is local. We found that out because the internet guy had given us an Atlanta number for customer service, but when we called they informed us that they had no way to help us, we needed to call the local At&T people. Geesh.) Ok, I’ve got my venting out for the day:)

We also suffered through AT&T in the Chicago suburbs. They took forever to get us our initial service. We’ve now been with them for over a year and when they came to plug our new neighbor’s service in, they also unplugged ours. It then took them nearly A WEEK to come back out and plug it back in after THEIR mistake. They promised to knock money off of our bill, but the bill that came in was full price. If our next bill is more of the same, they’re going to get a call from me.
I sent an email through your photography site about a possible maternity shoot in late winter!

Seriously, you’ve got every city/state in the CONUS, but no California! (You know I kid!) But now we just found out our plans for next year….Landon was accepted into this super-selective Air Force program and will be working for the NRO (it’s like the CIA of the Air Force:) That means that next summer we move to Dayton Ohio for 18 month school then likely on to Virginia. Won’t it be funny if you make it out to LA right after we leave? That’s life!
But, from western Ohio, a trip to Chicago is much more likely than it is now, so if I’m EVER in Chicago I will definately let you know! Have fun with all your travels!

Jenna, you guys should try comcast for internet. That’s what my husband and I have. We don’t have cable TV, but used to and it was bundled together w/ internet. I think at&t is probably fine for your phone, but it doesn’t seem that great for home internet or cable.
The travel schedule looks fun, you’re going to be a busy lady. Jealous that you’re family is lives close enough for you to get to Portland. We would move there in a heartbeat if the right job opened up.

We would love Comcast, but it’s not available in our building!

That stinks. I assumed that you could get either one in anywhere in Chicago. I’m sorry at&t is taking so long to get set up. Even though comcast internet is good, we’ve had issues with them not applying our payments to our bill, etc.
Hopefully you guys will be set up soon! I’d be going crazy without internet!

Arggggg… I hate it when companies are jerks. I have an impressive knack for getting exactly what I want out of companies if you’d like me to call and pretend I am you? Lol
At this point, I wouldn’t get off the phone with them until you have your appointment scheduled AND a pro-rate/compensation for the lack of service so far.
I don’t need any photos taken but if you end up in Spokane and would like to grab a coffee or something, let me know!

Oh I was going to mention… Have you checked on their rates for business customers? My husband has a home business and the rates are exactly the same as residential but you get WAY better service as a business customer.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with AT&T. We had to use them several times against our will when we were setting up temporary storm working offices for my family’s roofing business- they had a monopoly and there WASN’T another choice- and every. single. time. they were at least two weeks late in setting up things as crucial as a phone, no matter how early I contacted them. At one point I called them every.single. day. for TWO WEEKS straight, was on the phone for about two hours each time, and no joke I got a different answer every.single.time.
I despise them. I feel they have set up monopolies in far too many areas and people are forced to use them. In so doing they subvert the free market, so we can’t vote against them with our dollars. A thousand suns indeed!!

Hi! I’ve been a reader for a while, but never commented. My bad! But I just had to ask you a question!! I have lived most of my life in Tacoma, Washington, and then was married last year and moved to Moscow, Id. We always drive through Royal City on our way back and forth (one time even breaking down there!) Anyway, my question was that, since I know Royal City isn’t very big I was wondering if you knew the people who owned Tonnemaker Hill Farms? They are who I get my produce from every week at our local farmer’s market, here in Moscow, and they have a big banner that says “Tonnemaker Hill Farms- Royal City, WA” and it makes me think of you! And they have the best produce, so I always get it from them!

I had a bad AT&T experience when I moved from Dallas and switched to Verizon. They charged me bogus disconnection fees (even though I had it in writing that I didn’t warrant disconnection fees as a 2 year subscriber), then sent me to a collections agency. It took six months, weekly phone calls and several letters. In the end, they paid me about $200 and we called it even. Crazy!
However - I’ll add that I had challenges in NYC with Verizon too. I think its just a poorly regulated industry with low service standards.
What’s happening with the passport/s?! Did I miss that one? My brother just had to get a passport at the last minute and it took him a mere 48 hours in Dallas. I was shocked.

Would you be interested in a day trip to Austin for a maternity shoot one of the weeks you’re coming to Dallas? I’m due April 12th and will be plenty big enough by the first week of March I imagine. I would love it!

We have many cities in common. I have a sister in Dallas that I would just love to visit. And four sisters in the Portland metro area (who I plan to visit end of October).
I actually grew up mostly in Portland miss the city a ton. But Chicago is my home now and I love it as well.
