Taste of Polonia
Seems apt to post these photos while I’m in Poland!
There was a rock concert going on in the background, but based on this picture you never would have known!
No better way to eat fair food than while standing up.
Hot husband.
His job was to choose the food.
My job was to take the pictures.
Sadly, I do not really like Polish food.
Oh wait, this I liked.
We walked around and looked at the junk.
I hope to be coming home from Poland with a shirt like this for T1.
I practiced “shooting from the hip”, literally, holding the camera at my hip and shooting strangers.
The best moment of the evening by far was the moment when the T1 Fan Club formed. All of the women in this booth gathered and literally started cooing at him from behind the pierogi.
He wore his Polish pants at Taste of Polonia. I bet he’s wearing him right now, in Poland, as you read this!
Think he was ready to go home?
The Polish ladies love him! He’s going to be such a rockstar as he grows up. Loving the pics with both of you in them, too!
1oh my . . . that little sad face is the cutest ever. although he’s so cute in general that I think that about every pic. sweet photos of you all!
2I thought as you commented you don’t like Polish food, “Then you aren’t eating the right food yet.” And voila, you found something you like!! Love the photos of T1. Joining the club!
3I love the sad face picture. It’s a perfect expression!
4Couple of things….
You don’t like golumpki?! I think I just shed a tear inside. I love love love my babcia’s and seeing that plate of food just made me drool a bit.
Also, that sad pouty face from T1 is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I just want to hug him!
5OHH MYY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!! That pouty picture is TOO STINKING CUTE! I love it!
6He is SO darling. I love a baby in a snuggly little jacket.
7What a sweet little face! Love that last picture - it’s kind of ethereal! Looks like lots of fun there in Poland.:)
8That frowny face breaks my heart!
9Oh my goodness, the picture with the little pouty lip is just the sweetest thing!
10Ohmygosh, that pouty face photo is so …. I can’t even find the right word! Adorable? Hilarious? Precious? (I hate that word). I’ll settle on fabulous, even though he looks so sad, but it’s just such a great photo!
11I love your photos, both the sheer quantity and the honest nature of them. I know you do an annual photo album for your families, but how are you cataloging T1s life on your computer? Do you print any or do any longer albums now that you’ve got him around?
12I STARTED the T1 fan club. I should be president.
13The 2nd to last picture, the sad face, OMG. The cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Love the little pouty lip. What a cutie. By the way, my Dad’s family is Polish/Czech too and I’ve eaten my fair share of Polish food - it’s alright but not my favorite either. As a kid, we always went to a handful of Polish restaurants in the city - I’m kind of bummed they’re closed down because I think I might like the food better as an adult!
14I love the photos with you and T1. Love the mommy and son -um ness.
15You look so pretty in the last picture!
16I’m sure you never get tired of hearing how cute T1 is, so I’ll gush a bit more. Soooo stinking cute in that pouty picture!
I also want to say that you look beautiful! Love the shots with you and T1
17The pouty face is the best picture ever! Too precious!
18that second to last picture! I actually went “ohhhhh!!” outloud. He’s absolutely adorable!
19The pouting picture just makes me melt. You have such a beautiful family!
20My heart exploded at teh sad face pic. Cutest frown ever!
21Your son is so cute! Looks just like Daddy! Glad your having a great time in Poland.
22Looks like you guys are having a good time. I love perogies. I think that is one of the items pictured.
23Agghhh T1 is just too adorable!!! I just want to squeeze him. Hope you are having a fabulous time!
24Kishka is just wrong on so many levels. My dad feeds it to my toddler b/c she loves it, but I end up cringing if she wants a hug within an hour b/c she has kishka breath. Pierogi are awesome though!
25What a cutie!
26The lip poke out breaks my heart, especially when my own does it..But then I laugh because it’s so dang cute too.
27That’s so cool that you get to experience another culture continually through your husband! I’m sure your kids will have a broader view of the world than other kids from same-culture families. And, T1 is too cute, he makes my heart melt every time!
28OH MY GOSH. That POUT! That pout!! Jenna, he is ADORABLE!!
29T1′s pouty face is killing me!!!

even now, looking at it again, my ovaries are bouncing around!
So what did TH think of the food? Did it taste like home or did it feel like an americanized version of it?
It looks like a fun cultural thing to do.
Oh and T1′s pout so adorable. You can just imagine the tears coming behing those big eyes. Well he looks cute all the time anyway. I just have to say, mixing the gene pool just makes the cutest kids.

He thought it was good at the time, but now that we’ve been back to Poland we both agree it was sub-par
T1 is so adorable. His pout is the best! Judging from the pictures, I don’t think I’d like Polish food either.
32Totally looking for myself in the background! We were there, too. And I, too had that polish plate - yum!
33the crinkly pouty face kills me!
34As always, I love the pictures of T1. Keep them coming!
35T1 frowning is my new favorite picture of him. He is the cutest baby ever! (Although when I have a baby, T1 will have to relinquish that title)
