That Weight Loss Challenge Weigh-In!
It’s time to weigh in on That Weight Loss Challenge Daily Burn site if you haven’t already done so! You need to weigh in at least once a month to be eligible for the prize (not to mention, you are much more likely to lose the weight you want to if you keep yourself accountable by noting your progress on TWLChallenge page). Go do it right now! And don’t get discouraged if you aren’t where you want to be. I’m not really where I’d like to be, but this is a nice long challenge so you have plenty of time to catch up with your goals.
If you haven’t been using the #TWLC hashtag on twitter (if you don’t know how to use hashtags, just add #TWLC to any of your tweets and I’ll be able to see it using my saved search) please join the few of us that are doing so. It’s very motivating for me to check and see how others are exercising and making awesome dietary choices.
This is a picture from Saturday, T1 and me taking a moment to say hello to my brother after the graveside dedication for my great-grandma. I’m actually wearing the suit (you can’t see the top, just the skirt) that my mom wore for my wedding. It’s exciting because I’ve lost enough weight to fit into the clothes in her closet again, but it’s a little depressing to think that I’m wearing clothes that are too big for my mom! I want to be smaller than her because I’m her kid and I guess I feel like that’s the way things should be. Or I want to be the same size because we are both at a weight that makes us very happy.
To summarize. Weigh in! Tweet using #TWLC! And shopping in your mom’s closet is awesome but I’d rather be under my 150 lb goal so I can buy new clothes again.
Oh and P.S.-I ran 3 miles without stopping on Friday. If you’re trying out C25K as well right now, I promise you can do it. Keep on keepin’ on!
That is such a lovely, joyful photo!
And congrats on THREE MILES!!! That is awesome!

2I totally feel you on wanting to be smaller than your mom, or at least the same weight. My mom and my sister are both tiny (like, 125lbs tiny), but it was such a good feeling when I lost enough weight to start borrowing my mom’s shirts and dresses again. (She’s really short, so I can’t wear her pants, even if they did fit around my waist.)

3I’m so so excited to start running again after my husband’s mega-busy season of work is over.

4Congrats on the 3 miles. What an amazing accomplishment! I remember the first time I ran 3 miles (thank you C25K) and I seriously did a happy dance in the street!

6Oh so you only have to weigh in once a month to be eligible?
I didn’t realize that! I thought we had to weigh in every week and I already lost my eligibility! I’ll go enter my monthly weigh-in then!

8Congrats on running the 3 miles! Keep up the good work!
I get the vibe that you probably do make your own baby food, and plus T1 is probably getting ready for more toddler food, but if you’re interested, you might check out this: http://megandyanray.blogspot.com/2011/02/baby-food-parsnips.html

What a lovely picture and CONGRATULATIONS on the 3 miles! I weighed in again, but I am still at just the 2lb weight loss…though I’m pleased with that. I was super proud that I managed 8 minutes without stopping
You’re a great inspiration!
