Two awesome things have been developing lately.
First, I’m going to come to Washington state (central Washington, where my parents live) for somewhere between 4-8 weeks this summer. Expect some blog posts about life on the farm, and hopefully some pictures from life on the ranch as I’d really like to take a trip down to my grandparent’s ranch in Oregon!
Second, I am very, very close to paying off Jenna Cole. This means that I will actually have spending money, and I can finally start contributing to the family budget! Also I’ll be able to buy some new clothes when I finish losing all this weight I’m chipping away at.
If you live in Washington and would like to schedule a portrait session, contact me through the contact form on Jenna Cole. If you are getting married in Washington during that time I’d really like to talk to you! I’m going to be offering discounts for both weddings and portrait sessions because I’ll have an abundance of relatives (aka babysitters) on hand and I’d like to get enough work in to fund a vacation to New York for TH and I next year!
If you know anyone in that area who might be interested in my offer, please feel free (do it do it do it) to send them my information.
Happy weekend everyone! I’m packing up my stuff for my first trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo, where I’ll be shooting a maternity session today. I’ll say hi to the tigers for you!

Hello from TX. I’m new to reading your blog and a bit confused when you said “paying off Jenna Cole”. Is that your website? Just curious.

Jenna Cole is my photography business. It’s a lot of money to build up a nice arsenal of lenses, bodies, equipment, website, hosting, packaging, and so many other things. We used our family savings to pay for it all, and now I’m working to pay that money back. Soon I’ll be done paying things off and I can start making money and spending it how I please. I’m very excited about it!
Thanks for the compliment!

Haha, I doubt we’ll pay close enough attention to actually know, but I might frame A dollar in a nice little symbolic nod to the two years of work I’ve done to get there. I think my dad framed his first dollar when he started his business!

I think you’ll like the Lincoln Park zoo. I generally get depressed around zoos, but it was done very nicely! And the best part is that it’s free
Have a great shoot!

How nice for you! Any idea yet on where TH will have his summer internship? Around when does that get finalized?

I don’t think he is going to end up having one. He is looking forward to being able to pursue his own interests for the summer!

Would looooove to help you finance that trip to NYC with a duet shoot (or even one with additional extended family too!).
I am envious that you’ll be able to spend time at home with your folks for a month though. Such a blessing that this is a possibility for you!

Oh ok, very nice =)
I lived about 45 minutes south of Seattle so I’m not too familiar with central Washington but I have been other there numerous times. Enjoy your time there =)
