9 Months

Nicknames: Boo Boo, Triple P (P****** Poopy Pants). Even at this age, when I use the word poop in a variety of forms, you laugh. Poopy face, poopy head, poopy P. I guess it’s just a baby boy thing.
Temperament: Able to entertain yourself for hours at a time (I love this)
Things I Could Do Without: I don’t have anything written down for this month! This doesn’t mean you weren’t annoying in some way during this age, I’m sure you were. Just not enough for me to remember to write it down :)
Item/Toy We Love The Most: The iPad. The rattle game is instant entertainment for you.
Item/Toy You Love The Most: Bath toys! You started taking baths in the big tub every time now.
Things I’m Loving Most Right Now: Dolphin clicking, sometimes you sleep in until 10 am, you stand unassisted longer and longer each day, you aren’t walking yet which I actually love because I’m sure once you do get there you’ll run full speed everywhere you go, reading Dr. Seuss on the iPad.
Things You’re Loving Most Right Now: Shotgun laugh, standing, standing in your crib and jumping with excitement whenever I trap you in there while I fold laundry, clapping.
Sounds/Words: Mama (only when you are sad), baba (rarely), dada (all the time). You like to whisper to yourself very quietly, and though it’s hard to convey with text it sounds something like “ohbejatelaskailbamemadadedada”. A few extra consonants thrown in every once in awhile. Hehda happens sometimes now and it’s really cu te.
Foods you like: Still haven’t found anything you absolutely refuse. I love sharing my food with you (daddy never shares with you though).

You stood up all by yourself with no support this month! I was in the kitchen, you were in our bedroom, and I looked over and screamed when I saw you standing. It scared you so you sat down and cried.

You have 8 teeth now. Crazy. 4 on top, 4 on bottom.

I gave you a sippy cup for the first time, you aren’t really interested in it.

The scenes of us playing together at the end of this video are my favorite “monthly baby footage” ever. And the book we are reading from has a recording of Nana and Grandpa Andersen reading to you and you get so excited every time you hear their voices coming through the speaker.
