Bath Time with Nana
My time here in Royal feels like it is passing at warp speed! I admit I was nervous to come out here, nervous to lose my autonomy, nervous that my mom and I would clash in the ways we did when I used to live at home. Everything has been wonderful though, and my parents deserve most of the credit for that. They feed us, give us somewhere to sleep, help with the baby, let me use mom’s computer, and don’t really ask for a whole lot in return. I hope to make extended stays like this an annual thing!
Yesterday we we went up to my grandparent’s ranch, and I’m currently sorting through the hundreds of pictures I took to figure out what I’d like to show you. My other grandparent’s are coming over for dinner tomorrow, and I plan to take T1 to the dairy to meet the moo cows in the next two weeks. As someone on Twitter said, this is turning out to be the perfect summer AND we still have our Europe trip to look forward to!
Those are the most beautiful pictures! I LOVE the b/w conversion.

4Such great pictures! You are so talented!!! I LOVE the black and white! How do you make it such a soft contrast? This is more of a gray and white look. I’ve been wanting to learn how to do that! Please help if you can!

Thank you Jessica!
Do you have Lightroom? I use the same preset for all of my black and whites, and it has a lot of fill light.

I have photoshop cs4. But the black and white conversion is nothing like what yours looks like. Is lightroom a good software that I should consider buying?

If you are taking a lot of pictures and having a hard time keeping up with the processing and organization, Lightroom is the answer! It’s kind of like Bridge, but I think it’s better.

I just love B&W portraits. Also I’m glad you’re having a good time with your Mom. Grandparents are such a treat in my opinion. I have such fond memories of spending vacation times with my grandparents. I hope you’ll be able to do that too even if they live farther away.
