I have so many things to show you, but I never seem to have time to write posts about them!
I went on a farm tour with Organically Grown Company. Buyers from places like Whole Foods were there to learn more about the farms they are buying from, and it was a very cool opportunity to be able to interact with them on such a personal level.
I did some shooting with my mom, Denise Andersen.
Another farm tour! A very organic/natural/hippie-esque community out near my grandparent’s dairy. Think Joel Salatin about 15 years ago. T1 came along this time and had lots of fun digging in the dirt, petting the goats, splashing with the pigs, and chasing the chickens.
We spent an afternoon down at my grandparent’s ranch. Such a treasure to have in our family! I hope we get to ride horses next year.
My dad’s business held a little goodbye party for That Husband (he worked with them a few weeks while we were there) and T1 had his first 4-wheeler ride. I also took some pictures of my dad’s place to give you a mini tour so I can give you a better idea of what he does.
Right before I left I woke up at 5 in the morning to photograph a senior session with this darling girl.
And the last thing we did in Washington was spend time with my dad’s side of the family at the Andersen Reunion. I think That Husband and I were kayak hogs, but we didn’t care. We loved it out on the water and plan on spending some time kayaking on Lake Garda when we are there next month.
Picture of TH battling it out with me on the canoe courtesy of my cousin T. Thanks honey!
Sadly the picture I most want to show you, can’t be displayed in all it’s cute glory. My cousin came up with his wife, son, daughter, and soon-to-be-adopted twin baby boys (surprising us all, we didn’t know they were going to be there!) and because the little ones aren’t officially theres yet, they can’t have their faces shows publicly. It’s a shame, because this just might be the cutest picture I have ever taken. The boy on the left is completely engrossed in the phone along with T1, and the boy on the right is looking up at his mom as if to say “Is this really a toy we can play with mom?”
After I get back from Boston I’m going to be pushing hard to get that wedding edited and back to the couple before our Italy vacation. Sometime before the end of the month I hope to show you the full posts on these!
Even with the caption bubbles covering the twins faces, the photo still looks priceless!

1What a fun vacation. I love that you can fill it with healthy times, family times and even a little work practice.
How’s T1 personality now? He looks like such a happy exploring little boy.

2It sounds like a truly wonderful trip!
Congrats to your cousin on the twins!

3You’re always welcome to come out and visit Lily with me. She’s super gentle and loves kids - although I don’t think I’d stick a beginner on her since she IS still a five year old Mustang. But I could always lead you and P around on her or something.

4That picture makes me so happy! Thanks for taking it. And I love that Jake and Joey are so close in age to T1. I just know they’ll be playmates at many family reunions to come!
I’m so glad we decided to come up! It was the perfect get-together and a fabulous day. What a fun experience to surprise everyone like that. Thanks to you (and Shay) for sparking the idea. It was a crazy one, but sure worth the effort!
XOXO

P.S. I’m so happy we were finally able to meet T1!! What a little doll. Seriously, such a cute boy. Thanks for letting Maddie “take care” of him.

When the adoption goes through, you’ll have to repost the picture without the faces covered up…it looks to be a super cute photo!

8That picture with the red white blue yellow & green flags reminds me of the buddhist prayer flags in Nepal. Oh how I long to go and trek those mountains!
