I’m impressed by all of those with turnaround times that allow them to get their challenge photos up the day of, or the day after. I’m going to stick with one a week through the rest of October.

Have you seen the challenge participant list lately? It’s enormous! I love being part of something that has spread so far.

Day 1: Self-portrait

This happened to fall on a DITL day, so I was set up to take pictures already. Here I am a few moments after waking up. Checking my emails, Twitter, and Formspring as usual.

Day 2: What you wore today

I didn’t take this picture. We were late so I asked TH to take it. Earrings from Poland, white sweater form Nordstrom, JCrew dress that I thrifted a few weeks ago. I would like to get a new sweater without ruching on the sleeves to wear on top.

Day 3: Clouds (not clouds)

Maybe having a weather-dependent challenge for a day wasn’t a very good idea? It was fun to think about ways to capture the cloudless sky though.

Day 4: Something green

This picture made me think of this song.

Day 5: From a high angle

Thank you, apartment high in the air, for making this day so easy for me. The view of downtown out of our living room windows.

Day 6: From a low angle

We went to a U-pick farm and my friend climbed a tree to pick some apples for us. It provided the perfect opportunity to get my low angle shot for the day! I shot this at 1.4 with my 35mm lens.

Day 7: Fruit

I decided to try something that had more of a studio look to it for today’s shot (the apples come from yesterday’s adventures). Unfortunately my styling skills are extremely lacking. Maybe I can join a still-life style challenge next!

I would love to click over and look at your pictures if you’ll link to the specific post below. (I’ve been trying to keep up with them on Twitter but it’s a lot of people so it’s tough!)
