Happy Hollow
I asked for Bay Area entertainment suggestions, and you guys came through with a variety of awesome ideas all around the San Francisco Bay Area. One that appealed to us right away is Happy Hollow in San Jose. You pay one fee as you enter, and then you can go to a petting zoo, visit some rides (all geared toward for kids around 10 and under), and walk through a small zoo. My favorite display is the meerkats.
T1 likes the cars ride the best, where he can ride in a fire engine and ring the bell as he goes around and around. He asks to go on the swing every time we visit, even though he makes a face that has all the spectators thinking we forced him to be there.
At the park that day we had three young kids and four adults. T1 needed an adult to ride with him and pregnant mom meant dad had to go. It was awesome.
We loved Happy Hollow so much that we bought a membership on our first visit! Once T2 is ready to be out of the house I plan on going several times a month (week?) to let T1 burn off some of that never-ending energy he has.
