Another completely cliche challenge. I mean, Spring cleaning for the first month of Spring?
I know I’m not re-inventing the wheel or anything, but can most of you deny that this is something you need in your lives?
Behold, the corner of crap.
I hate this corner in our office, and I’m ready to have all this stuff we aren’t using out of the house so I can create myself a pretty little desk area and start using my sewing machine. By the end of March, I vow to have this corner completely empty. Who’s with me?
The criteria for this month:
1. You must give away at least one item to Goodwill or a similar salvation-army type store.
2. Take a before and after picture (please do this one, it’s fun for us all to see before and after shots, and it will encourage you to be more dramatic with your changes).
To sign up all you have to do is comment below. Remember, you have to sign up for each challenge separately by commenting on the appropriate post. I will add you to a weekly reminder email list, unless you specificy otherwise in your comment. The last week of the month I ask that you email me your photos (and maybe a description) to share with everyone else.

Oh yes, I’m in on this one. If only to actually reorganize my clothes shelves (without a door) it’s starting to look scary. And under the computer too… it’s such a mess.
I’m sure I can find at least one item of clothing that I’m not wearing anymore to give away.

I should do this. Scary hall closet, it’s time.

Sadly (fortunately?), I can’t participate in this one.
I moved about six weeks ago, and in that process, I cleaned out closets, storage rooms, cubbys and boxes in the garage. After two trips to the goodwill with donations of 8 garbage bags of clothes and 6 large boxes of assorted kitchen/homewares, I’ve got almost nothing superfluous left.
Though I suppose my boyfriend would really appreciate it if I finally unpacked the suitcase that has been sitting in our bedroom for over a month.

Ok, I’m in. If you promise not to judge the before photograph of our front ‘hallway’ (otherwise known as the only place to store things/wedding planning area/washing drying place) I shall attempt to de-clutter.
Last weekend I took 4 bags of clothes to the charity shop and gave away an ikea coffee table and our old iron on freecycle. And still the clutter remains…

Count me in! I’m finally almost past some MAJOR deadlines for work so I’ll be able to take care of this and get back to reading the (literally thousands) blog posts in my reader… So refreshing to have a normal life again… soon… only one more week…

Definitely in on this one. Sadly I did a huge spring clean in February. Still, I’m sure I can find a horrifying corner in the apartment…

I desperately need to do this in our office. Count me in!

I did so much of this 2 weeks ago! But that tee shirt drawer of mine could really use some thinning out and organizing, so I’ll give it a shot!

I so need to do this in several different areas. Mostly, just needing to go through and decided on things to keep or get rid of. Thanks for this challenge!

I am definitely up for this one! I’m moving in May, and with Luck moving out this weekend, and all the wedding stuff to figure out something to do with, I am going to do this. It’s not cliche, it’s inspiring. Good choice, Jenna!

I need to tackle the yellow guest room in the house that Hubby and I fixing up. His father used it as a junk room, so it is in dire need of cleaning.
I might even get productive and finish up the closet in the master bedroom to get rid of all the books on the top shelf that we will never keep.
Thanks

Oh, I am going to do this. I have several “corners of crap” – all boxes that just didn’t quite get unpacked when we moved (last July…). Maybe I’ll start tonight. Or at least I’ll put them on my Google Task list.

I am in…

This sounds like a fun challenge. I’m moving this month but why not, it’ll help with the process!

I’m in. This should not only help with cleaning up, but also get me to actually track down the Church-run thrift stores closest to me.
