Sponsor Intro: A Vintage Poster
Sponsors have arrived on That Wife! No blinking ads, nothing flying across the top of your screen. Just a few badges on the righthand side of the screen, pointing you to some businesses that I think you might like (I’ve either used them in the past myself or love what they are doing!). I hope that if you decide to purchase something from one of them that you will mention that you came from That Wife. It’s wonderful to have a little bit of income from this site that I pour so much of my time into, and if advertisers know that I’m sending them business they are more likely to renew!
Each advertiser gets an introduction post, so that I can tell you a little bit more about them and why I chose to work with them.
First up is A Vintage Poster, run by Sara. Sara found my blog through an old college roommate, and then realized that she and I actually had a class together at BYU! I can tell she’s really spunky, because when I asked her to write a little bit about herself this is what she replied with:
I’m unusually tall - and blonde - and clumsy. I grew up in Utah and moved approximately 10 minutes away from my hometown to go to college because I’m adventurous like that. I met my husband in 8th grade spanish class. He has no recollection of this - but I had a huge crush on him (he looks just like benny from the sandlot! and has amazing eyelashes) We even sat by each other the entire year. He didn’t notice me until a few years later when my hair had grown out of an unfortunate mushroom haircut and I didn’t have braces anymore
We’ve been married for two years and as cliche as it sounds, we really do love it. After art and design, my passion is books - reading and collecting. I also love ice cream. In large quantities. And J. Crew, which my husband is not as supportive of.
Isn’t she fun? A Vintage Poster is a business that she started two months ago, supplying vintage inspired posters with a modern twist for a really great price. (If you are a Rockstar Diaries reader you might have seen her work before.) Sara has been studying graphic design for a few years and is currently finishing her BFA in Graphic Design at BYU. She told me that packaging the orders is her favorite part of working with clients, and now I’m considering a purchase just so I can see what she does!
A few of my favorite posters:
Did you know I have a thing for elephants? I started when I gave That Husband a card with elephants on it on our wedding day.
Doesn’t this one make you smile?
One of these for the kitchen maybe? Or a custom one with a Kitchenaid on it! That’s my definition of happiness in the kitchen.
Thanks for working with me Sara!
Super cute posters.

I agree - the posters ARE cute, but as a renter of a tiny tiny apartment, I won’t have room for this cuteness for a few years. Any chance that Sara is thinking of making greeting cards, gift tags, or wrapping paper in the near future?
