Started my day with a run, and some berries from the garden

We ate lunch at a building first constructed in the 8th century, that at one point was used as a castle!

Appetizer was lard with bits of meat, and coat cheese with onion and green onion chunks to be spread on bread.

Look at my fancy appetizer! It’s like they knew I would want to take pictures. :) This is quail stuffed with pheasant. Or maybe the other way around.

I had wild boar soup with Brussel sprouts and some sort of wild rice/bacon cheese cake mixture on the side.

TH had flank steak and this little square of breaded and fried mashed potatoes. Have any of the crazy state fairs done fried mashed potatoes yet? They really should.

The desserts TH and I split. Creme brûlée three ways and a truffle with some sort of Hungarian wafer.
