Once upon a time I used to count calories. That helped me lose 50 lbs and keep it off… until I got pregnant. Then I gained that 50 lbs back plus a good 15 more. I love calorie counting but I’m a bit obsessive about it and with a baby to take care of all of my calorie counting time is being devoted toward sitting on the futon feeding my son (I certainly could cut back on my blogging but that doesn’t sound appealing!). This blog is my attempt to stay accountable without spending hours weighing and measuring and logging.

Each time I eat something, I’m going to take a picture of it with my iPhone and upload the photo here. If I go back and refill my plate, I’ll take another photo. This will be a completely unaltered compendium of my daily consumption, and I hope the knowledge that someone is reading (even if it’s just my husband!) will help me avoid mindless munching and help the pounds melt away!

Here’s to hoping I can find a way to turn blogging into a weight loss aid!
